Are you hosting a party, fundraising event, or a wedding? Ceilidhs are sure ways to make it memorable. Thank social dance, only Scottish, with lots of upbeat and fun live music. The Orchestra consists of about 20 musicians, who play fiddles, guitars, piano, double bass and accordion. See us in action in the 'Watch Us' page, or listen to the sample tracks in the 'Our CD' page. Should you wish to augment the event experience, we are able to bring together other talented musicians, dancers, and singers. Just let us know by writing to us! 

 

Join Us

We are amateur musicians with skills ranging from intermediate to advance, and have a dedicated interest in playing live music for Scottish Country Dances, concerts, and facilities whilst nurturing musicianship and having fun. If you're interested in joining us, you're welcome to visit and play at any regular orchestra practice. Bring your instrument of choice, attend three practices so you have a good understanding of what we do, and pay a lifetime membership fee of $150 for our music repertoire. The Orchestra is a non-profit group. Revenues from performances are used for rehearsal space rental, website maintenance etc. Rehearsals are from September to June on every 2nd and 4th Tuesdays, from 7pm to 10pm, in Room 201 at the Highlands United Church.
